My boyfriend and his family go to Lake Almanor every year for a week-long camping trip. I was able to join them last year and this year, and was introduced to the little town of Chester.
My boyfriend was so sure I would love Coffee Station, and he was right! We went here at least three times during last year's camping trip, and at least three times again in this year's trip. The people are super nice, and the coffee is great!
If you have the opportunity, try some of their baked goods. Their flaky cinnamon roll is delicious, baked with puff pastry instead of regular dough. They also have some smoothies, but I can never order anything other than coffee here because it's so good!
We definitely plan on going here again next year! -

Great coffee; Fun Staff
I stopped here with two friends on the way to a bike ride at Lake Almanor. My double espresso ($2) was generous and excellent. My friends both had mochas. They liked them, even though the flavor was different than their usual Starbuck's. Both also had warmed-up pastries (turnover & cinnamon bun). Thumbs up. I tried the cinnamon bun. Lots of cinnamon and sweet topping. I would definitely return!
FYI-Plenty of parking in rear PLUS a drive-up window. -

While visiting Chester this July, me and my boyfriend would come here in the mornings and get a drink. He's a big coffee drinker, I don't go for coffee that often, but I can always go for a frappuccino. I got one and was highly satisfied with the taste of it. We took the drive thru instead of going in, it took a while but I didn't mind the wait.

Right on the main drag in Chester, this looks like a good place to stop for breakfast. The interior is pleasant with ample seating, and they offer a variety of breakfast sandwiches and pastries. I just stopped in for a coffee and restroom break. The service was not very friendly, and the coffee is self service which I don't like because it seems coffee served this way is usually not fresh. My cup was disappointing--no flavor and lukewarm. Also, there are no restroom facilities here.

Great coffee and coffee drinks and a wonderful community vibe. The drive through line is three deep in the morning and there's a lot of hustle and bustle indoors as well, with locals running into each other and chatting, alongside seasonal tourists. There are plenty of games and books to dip into. The work of local artists hangs on the wall, and seems like every business or event in the area has their card or flyer posted. Definitely the place to go if you want to know what's happening. Service is fast and friendly. Only giving it four stars because it's an inviting place to sit and sip, but there's no bathroom, which is definitely a downside if you want to hang out for a while.
